Type T Hydraulic Deadweight Testers

Hydraulic deadweight testers with ranges to 15,000 psi and multiple configurations

Type T, Hydraulic, Deadweight TestersType T hydraulic deadweight testers are proven designs that are rugged and dependable. The robust Type T hydraulic deadweight tester is available in ranges to 15,000 psi and is engineered to withstand the stresses of daily operation in a manufacturing environment while still maintaining outstanding accuracy and repeatability.

The Type T hydraulic deadweight tester is designed to be primary pressure standards and is available in several ranges and engineering units. The Type T hydraulic deadweight tester is also available in a number of configurations, including either single column with single or dual piston / cylinder or dual column with dual piston/cylinder, to satisfy a wide variety of pressure calibration needs in a variety of situations.

Type T hydraulic deadweight testers are of a superior design utilizing overhung weight carriers, alloy and stainless steel weights, and a re-entrant piston/cylinder. The Type T hydraulic deadweight tester also features selectable displacement allowing for ease of operation and control of pressure increase. Because the Type T hydraulic deadweight tester is manufactured using 300 series stainless steel and Monel, either hydraulic fluids compatible with the material or a water / alcohol mixture can be utilized. EPT and Viton ® o-rings are also available which increases media options. Additionally, an optional isolation membrane protects piston / cylinder assemblies from abrasive media.

Accuracies for the Type T hydraulic deadweight tester are available in ±0.100%, ±0.025%, and ±0.015% of reading. The accuracy stated is the overall accuracy of the tester. The accuracy takes into account linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability. It would also account for intrinsic corrections. Type T hydraulic deadweight testers are manufactured to either International Standard Gravity of 9.80665 m/s2 or to a user specified local gravity.
